The Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine, also known as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, was a single-shot vaccine designed to protect against COVID-19. It used a modified common cold virus (adenovirus) to deliver instructions to your body's cells to make a harmless piece of the COVID-19 virus called the spike protein. Your immune system then learned to recognize and fight off the actual COVID-19 virus if you were exposed to it. This vaccine is no longer available in the U.S. due to the risks of rare but severe side effects. The most urgent side effects include signs of an allergic reaction and neurological or cardiovascular symptoms. I was looking for a place to share my experience with the vaccine and gather information from others who may have received it.
