Just started administering Dopamine/d5w 1.6mg/ml Inj, 250ml to a patient in shock. I'm on the hook for monitoring and reporting any side effects. I've heard there's a range of side effects, even some life-threatening ones. Should I be worried? He's been stable so far, but I'm watching out for those telltale signs of an allergic reaction or changes in blood pressure. Has anyone else dealt with this medication? Any tips for managing potential issues or making the process smoother for the patient? I'm definitely looking out for severe side effects, but what about the more common ones? Will they make the patient uncomfortable? If so, how can I prevent or treat them? I'm curious to hear about the experience and tips from an anesthesiologist, nurse, or doctor.
