I recently had to use Cipro-HC Otic Suspension 10ml to treat my swimmer's ear. I was hesitant at first because I'd heard about the potential side effects, but my doctor assured me it was the best course of action. I've been using it for a week now, and while it's too early to tell if it's completely cleared up the infection, the itching and discomfort have significantly reduced. I've been careful to follow the instructions to the letter, making sure to lie down with the affected ear facing up for a few minutes after each dose.
