I've been scheduled for a CT scan where they'll be using Omnipaque 350mg/ml Inj, 150ml, which contains Iohexol. I've heard that while it helps make the blood vessels and organs show up better on the images, it can have some pretty severe side effects. I'm a bit anxious – without a deep Google dive, what should I do to be prepared? How many people have dealt with serious reactions, what did you do, and when did you know to act? I understand allergic reactions can be very bad. Are the odds of this really low? Did anyone have something like an allergic reaction that was not severe, but that made them afraid?
