Lidocaine 2% Inj, 20ml is a common local anesthetic used to numb specific areas of the body during minor procedures. I've had it used on me during dental work and it's amazing how it just... stops pain in its tracks. However, like any medication, it comes with potential side effects. I've seen the lists online, and some of them are pretty scary. I'm curious, has anyone else had experiences with Lidocaine? Any horror stories or, more importantly, tips to share?

I'm scheduled for some dental work and the dentist mentioned using Lidocaine 1% Inj, 30ml for numbing. I've never had this before and I'm a bit nervous. Can anyone share their experiences with this? What should I expect in terms of side effects? I've read about some serious ones but they seem rare. Should I be concerned? Also, how long does the numbing effect usually last? I want to be prepared for what's to come.
