Lidocaine 2% Inj, 20ml: What You Need to Know Before Your Next Procedure
Lidocaine 2% Inj, 20ml is a common local anesthetic used to numb specific areas of the body during minor procedures. I've had it used on me during dental work and it's amazing how it just... stops pain in its tracks. However, like any medication, it comes with potential side effects. I've seen the lists online, and some of them are pretty scary. I'm curious, has anyone else had experiences with Lidocaine? Any horror stories or, more importantly, tips to share?

Why do they have to list all those horrible side effects? It just scares people more than helps.
I had a bad reaction to Lidocaine—got hives and had trouble breathing. Never going near that stuff again.
I've given Lidocaine injections as a nurse. Always remind patients to report any unusual symptoms right away. They can be rare, but severe.
I've had Lidocaine a few times for dental work. Never had any issues, knock on wood. But I always worry about those rare but serious side effects.
Had Lidocaine for a tooth extraction. Felt fine during, but later I felt really dizzy and weak. Ended up going to the ER.
I had a spinal injection with Lidocaine once. Scariest part was the potential for loss of movement or bladder control.
I work in a dental office and see Lidocaine used all the time. Most patients are fine, but occasionally someone will have a bad reaction.
I had Lidocaine during a minor surgery and it worked like a charm. Didn't feel a thing!
My doctor said the risk of serious side effects is low, but still scary to read about. Makes me want to avoid any medical procedures if possible.
