I was recently prescribed Foscavir (foscarnet) for a severe CMV infection and I'm really hoping to hear about others' experiences. The side effects seem scary, and I'm not sure what to expect. I'm particularly worried about the fluid and electrolyte issues and kidney problems mentioned in the warning. I'm currently experiencing some dizziness and muscle weakness, but I'm not sure if it's related to the medication. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is anyone else nervous about the potential for serious side effects? How can we manage these? Are there any tips or precautions people can share?
