I've been prescribed Lubiprostone 8mcg Capsules for my IBS-C and I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. It's supposed to increase fluid in the intestines to help with bowel movements, but I'm wondering about the side effects. I've read about some serious ones like shortness of breath and allergic reactions, but also more common ones like headaches and stomach pain. Has anyone else experienced these? How did you manage them? I've also heard it can cause diarrhea, which seems counterintuitive for a constipation treatment. How does that work?
