I've recently started using Parsabiv (Etelcalcetide) to manage overactive parathyroid glands due to chronic kidney disease. Teflaro (ceftaroline fosamil) is an antibiotic medication given by injection into a vein. It is used to treat serious bacterial infections of the skin and soft tissues, and certain types of pneumonia. It works by killing the bacteria that cause these infections. Although it can be a lifesaver, it also has potentially severe side effects. I recently had to use it for an infection and was hesitant given the list of potential complications.
