I've just been prescribed Oxacillin 2gm Inj, 1 Vial for a serious staph infection that's resistant to other antibiotics. I've never had to take something this strong before. My doctor explained that oxacillin kills the bacteria by interfering with the formation of the cell walls, but I'm still feeling a bit nervous about potential side effects. The list of side effects is pretty long, and I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with this medication. I'm particularly worried about allergic reactions since I've had mild allergies to penicillin antibiotics in the past. Has anyone else had issues with severe allergies or other serious side effects? I'd really appreciate any insights or advice on how to handle this.
