I've been prescribed Augmentin 500-125mg Tablets for an infection, but the side effects list is worrying! Has anyone experienced severe reactions like allergic rashes or Stevens-Johnson syndrome? How do you know if it's serious enough to go to the ER? I'm especially concerned about the drug-induced enterocolitis syndrome. Has anyone encountered this? My doctor didn't mention it, but the medical literature is filled with warnings. I'm pretty sure I don't have anything serious, but I'm also aware that some side effects can be life-threatening. I’ve read that diarrhea is common, but what if it's severe C. diff-associated diarrhea? How can I tell the difference? I've also heard about liver problems. How likely is it I'll experience that? Have any of you had experiences with those? I want to go in prepared. I'm already nervous as all get out..
