Caduet is a combination medicine containing two active ingredients, amlodipine and atorvastatin. Amlodipine helps to relax blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow. Atorvastatin helps to lower 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides, and raise 'good' cholesterol (HDL) in your blood. This medication is used to treat both high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which are risk factors for heart disease and stroke. However, there are several side effects that you need to watch out for. Many of these can be serious and require immediate medical attention.
