Caduet is a combination medicine containing two active ingredients, amlodipine and atorvastatin. Amlodipine helps to relax blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow. Atorvastatin helps to lower 'bad' cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides, and raise 'good' cholesterol (HDL) in your blood. This medication is used to treat both high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which are risk factors for heart disease and stroke. However, there are several side effects that you need to watch out for. Many of these can be serious and require immediate medical attention. If you have any experience with this drug, I'd love to hear about it.

Anyone else get that weird burning sensation when they pee? I thought it was a UTI at first, but turns out it's a side effect.

I feel like the side effects are manageable. I had some muscle pain at first, but it went away after a few weeks. Just listen to your body and talk to your doctor if anything feels off.

I've had some trouble with dizziness, but it's not constant. Just be careful when getting up from a sitting or lying position. It helps to take it easy.

I switched from a combination of separate meds for BP and cholesterol to Caduet, and it's so much easier to manage. Just make sure to take it at the same time every day.
