I've just been prescribed Jelcaine Sterile 2% Gel 30ml for some local pain relief. It's a lidocaine gel that's supposed to numb the area and relieve discomfort. I've read about some serious side effects, though, so I'm a bit nervous. I'd love to hear from anyone who has used it before. What was your experience like? Did you encounter any of the side effects mentioned, like allergic reactions or methemoglobinemia? How did you deal with them? And what about the less serious side effects? I'm curious about any irritation, swelling, or redness at the application site. If you have any tips on how to minimize these or any other advice, please share!
