I recently received the Pfizer Bivale 3-4 (Maroon) COVID-19 vaccine, which is designed to protect against the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 variants. The vaccine works by providing your cells with mRNA instructions to produce a harmless piece of the virus's spike protein, allowing your immune system to build defenses against the actual virus.
