I've been taking Periostat 20mg for a few weeks now to help with my gum disease. My dentist prescribed it to slow down the progression of my gingivitis. I haven't experienced any major side effects, but I've seen the list for Severe and life-threatening ones and I must admit they're scary. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any scary experiences or side effects from Periostat. If so, how did you handle it? Did you have to stop taking it? Did the dentists do anything special?
