I've been prescribed Hiprex 1g Tablets to help prevent recurrent UTIs, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. The medication works by turning into a germ-killing substance in your urine, but it seems to only work if your urine is acidic. I wonder if anyone has advice on how to maintain the right urine pH while taking this medication. Are there any dietary changes or other tips to make it more effective? I've also read that serious side effects like allergic reactions and bladder pain can occur. I want to be prepared and know what to look out for. Are there any common side effects that aren't listed, or any additional precautions I should take? I'd appreciate any insights or experiences from others who have taken this medication.
