I was recently prescribed Cosyntropin 0.25mg Injection for an adrenal function test. I have never had to test my adrenal glands before and am a bit nervous. The doctor mentioned that it helps to determine if my adrenal glands are functioning properly, but I want to gather more information before I go through the test. I've read about the side effects, including allergic reactions and changes in blood pressure. I just had a mild case of allergies and am worried about severe reactions. Plus, my grandmother had high blood pressure so I wonder if that's a risk. Has anyone had experience with Cosyntropin 0.25mg Injection? How was your experience? Did you face any side effects? I'd appreciate any advice or insights on managing the test and the possible side effects.
