I've been scheduled for a CT scan with Isovue-300 61% Inj, 500ml contrast agent. I've heard a lot about contrast agents and their potential side effects but don't know much about Isovue-300 specifically. The information sheet mentions allergic reactions and other serious side effects, which has me a bit worried. Are these side effects common? How can I prepare for the procedure and what should I expect? Has anyone else had experience with this contrast agent? Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
