I am trying Rectoprotect 5% Cream to help with hemorrhoids, but I am getting worried about the side effects. The product insert that came with the cream lists some rare but serious side effects like acidosis, methemoglobinemia, and severe allergic reactions. Has anyone else had issues with this cream? Should I keep using it or find something different?
