I recently upgraded my home's smoke detectors to a smart, Wi-Fi-enabled model. The idea was to have peace of mind with real-time alerts and integration with other smart home devices. However, after a few weeks, I'm not sure if the upgrade was worth it. First off, the app is clunky and not very intuitive. The detectors frequently send false alerts, especially when cooking or even just running the vacuum. The connectivity also seems to drop out, which is a huge problem in a device that's meant to keep you safe. Plus, the constant battery replacement alerts are annoying. Did I just overcomplicate things, or have others had a similar experience? How do you feel about the reliability of these devices?
