I've been taking prenatal vitamins for about 6 months and noticed some new changes in the last few days. My stools have been green and constipation has been brutal, but otherwise I feel fine. I know green stool is normal, and not a big worry, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with the constipation? Has anyone else experienced this? Are there any tips or tricks to deal with this? Also, is anyone else experiencing any weird side effects from their prenatal vitamins? Ever feel like you're on a rollercoaster? Be safe mommas!

I've heard that prenatal vitamins can cause constipation, but green stools? That's new to me. I'll have to ask my doctor about it.

I had to stop taking prenatal vitamins because they made me incredibly nauseous. I switched to a liquid prenatal and it made all the difference. I'm feeling much better now.

I've had the same issue! Anything with fiber and lots of water has been a lifesaver for me. I've also heard probiotics or stool softeners can help, but ask your doc first. Fingers crossed for both of us!

I had the same issue and my doctor recommended taking a magnesium supplement. Suddenly poof! No more problems. Might want to give it a try.

Prenatal vitamins are such a pain. I've been taking them for 8 months now and I've gotten used to the side effects. I just chug mine down. I hope whoever made them can come and check me for bruises from the vitamin bottles hitting my teeth!

One of my friends was very cautious about taking the vitamins, but her doctor told her to grit her teeth and put up with it. They are crucial for the health of the baby. Why am I reading this thread and not googling this myself?

Green stool is normal with the iron in prenatal vitamins, but constipation is no fun. Try increasing your fiber intake and drink lots of water. If it gets worse, talk to your doctor.
