I've recently been prescribed Verapamil 240mg ER Capsules for managing my angina. My doctor says it should help with my chest pain by relaxing my blood vessels and slowing down my heart rate. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? Did you encounter any of the more severe side effects like liver problems or allergic reactions? I'm particularly concerned about these because my doctor mentioned they can be rare but serious. Any insights or tips on managing side effects, or even just sharing your own experience would be incredibly helpful. I want to make sure I'm as prepared as possible before starting this new medication. Thanks in advance!

I had a pretty bad reaction to this medication. I had this terrible rash for like a week. I had to quit taking it and talk to a dermatologist about it. I think I'm allergic to the other stuff in it.

Has anyone experienced shortness of breath? I'm starting to feel that way, and I'm not sure if it's related to the Verapamil or something else.

I'd definitely talk to your doctor about that. Shortness of breath can be a serious side effect, so it's better to be safe and get it checked out.

I had a similar experience. I took it for a while and I couldn't shake the constipation. I'm glad it works for others, but it's not fun having to worry about this stuff when you only want to get better

I've been on Verapamil for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my angina. I had some initial dizziness, but it went away after a week. No serious side effects here, so don't worry too much!

Verapamil really helped me control my blood pressure. I didn't have any serious side effects, just a bit of a headache sometimes. Make sure you take it regularly and don't miss doses—it helps a lot
