Aranesp 25mcg/ml Inj, 1ml: A Lifesaver or a Risk?
I've been on Aranesp for a while now to treat my anemia, but I'm really worried about the side effects. I've had some mild stomach pain, but nothing too bad, and the benefits of having more energy are amazing. But I'm scared of the thought of seizures or blood clots, which are life threatening. I haven't had any of those issues, but has anyone else had any of the serious side effects? My doctor has been reassuring, but it's hard not to worry. Also, I'm wondering if anyone has managed to switch to a different treatment or natural remedies for anemia. Thoughts? Experiences? I could really use some support!

I've been on Aranesp for a few years now, and while I've had some shortness of breath, it's manageable. I've had a few doctors who have reassured me of its effects. This is a good discussion though, and it's worth knowing the risks.
I've had some stomach pain and coughing, but my doctor said that's pretty common. I'm just glad my energy is up and I don't have to rely on blood transfusions anymore.
I'm worried about the seizures. My friend had a bad reaction to a drug once, and it was awful. I'm still on the fence about this.
I switched to a different treatment because of the anxiety around these symptoms. I know some people have bad experiences, but I also know a lot of people it's been fine for. I just didn't think it was worth the stress.
My mom was on this and she had severe skin reactions. It was really scary. If you notice any redness, get help ASAP.
I've had some high blood pressure worries, but my doctor has that under control. I think the benefits outweigh the risks in my case. My life is better, and I feel healthier. I seriously think everyone should talk to a doctor before jumping to conclusions about their medications.
I'm new to this and my doctor said it's the best option. I've had no side effects so far and more energy. The list of side effects is pretty scary though. My doctor said these are unusual, but that's not good enough for me. I'm on the lookout and take everything with a grain of salt, but these are scary side effects.
I was on Aranesp and had to be taken off. I developed blood clots, which is awful. Be careful, folks. I'm not saying it's everyone, but it happened to me.
I'm on Aranesp and it's been a game-changer for me. But I'm always on the lookout for those weird side effects. The only thing I notice is I get a headache sometimes, but that might just be the anemia. It's worth keeping an eye on, though.
