Has anyone else's child had issues with Cerovite Jr Chewable Tablets? Symptoms and side effects - Help needed!
I recently started giving my 5-year-old Cerovite Jr Chewable Tablets as recommended by our pediatrician. The doctor recommended it to ensure she gets all the necessary vitamins and minerals. However, I've noticed that she's had some stomach issues and changes in stool color. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced similar side effects? The product description mentions possible side effects, but I want to hear from other parents who have gone through this. Should we be concerned about the black, tarry, or bloody stools mentioned in the side effects? Has anyone had to change to a different supplement? How long did it take for the side effects to disappear?

I've never heard of black stools, that sounds serious. I would definitely consult the doctor about that.
I've seen other kids get a green stool color, but no black or tarry stuff. Do call the doctor though just to be safe!
Have you checked if she's allergic to something in the tablet? Maybe try a different brand as a test.
This is a great thread. My child gets constipated from many things. I would rather give her these than not. It’s safe for her because of iron.
