I've been prescribed Norpace 150mg Capsules for an irregular heartbeat. The medication seems to be helping, but I'm worried about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones like allergic reactions and abnormal heartbeats. Has anyone else had any bad experiences with this medication? I want to know what to be on the lookout for, aside from what the doc told me to expect. Are there any Tips anyone has for managing side effects? Especially worried about the anticholinergic effects like dry mouth and urination issues.

I actually like the safety of using the drug. Having the serious side effects listed is a bonus (in the same sadistic way I like warnings on coffee cups). I feel like it's a good thing that the drug company is being honest about the pitfalls. I feel like I know what I'm up against, now.

I switched to a different medication because of the side effects. My doctor said everyone responds differently to drugs, so it's important to communicate with your healthcare provider. I hope things work out for you!

Be careful with the urine issues. I had to pee all the time, and it was really inconvenient. I kept a urinal by my bed just in case. Not fun. but worth it if it saves your life

My mom was on this and she had some issues with blurred vision. She had to stop driving for a while. Make sure to keep your doctor in the loop.

I had a bad reaction to this drug. Swelling and hives all over. The doc switched me to a different med and I haven't looked back. But my health issues were pretty serious, so I couldn't afford to be picky. If it was just a minor issue, maybe I would have stuck with Norpace.
