I was recently prescribed Duetact 30mg/2mg Tablets to manage my type 2 diabetes. The medication combines pioglitazone and glimepiride to help regulate blood sugar levels. However, I've been a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the severe skin reactions and liver problems mentioned in the patient information. I'm curious if anyone else has had any issues with this medication. How did you manage them? Also, wondering if there are any other side effects that people may have faced that are not listed in the documentation.

I've heard that some people get really bad night sweats from this drug. It might be worth mentioning to your doctor if you notice it.

Be careful if you decide to suddenly stop taking Duetact. I had a friend who got really sick from stopping cold turkey. Always consult your doctor before making any changes.

Duetact worked well for me, but I had to deal with frequent headaches and upset stomach. It might be worth considering if you can manage these symptoms or if they are bearable. My doctor helped me adjust the dosage and it got better.

I’ve been taking Duetact for a while and haven’t had any major issues. Just keep an eye on your blood sugar and talk to your doc if you have any concerns. Side effects are common, but usually not too severe.
