Has anyone had serious side effects from Gentamicin 40mg/ml Inj, 20ml? I'm concerned about the potential risks.
I was prescribed Gentamicin 40mg/ml Inj, 20ml for a severe bacterial infection, and I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The list of serious side effects is quite daunting, especially the ones related to kidney problems and allergic reactions. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially if you've had any serious side effects. How did you manage them? Did your doctor provide any tips or advice that were particularly helpful? Looking forward to any insights or advice from those who have been through this.

The thought of all those side effects freaks me out. I would rather deal with the infection and pray I'm not allergic to the drug.
I worked in a hospital pharmaceutical, and we had cases of Gentamicin toxicity. It can be serious, so definitely keep an eye on your symptoms.
This drug should be a last resort. I hope the infection clears up soon and you don't need to worry about this anymore.
I actually had Gentamicin a few years ago, and I felt just fine. No major side effects at all. Maybe you'll be lucky like me!
I had a friend who needed Gentamicin for an infection. He was terrified of the side effects, but he didn't experience any major issues. He was lucky though.
This drug is powerful, but it's important to follow your doctor's instructions closely. I know some people who had a rough time with it, but they were okay once they stopped taking it.
I had Gentamicin for a while and experienced some serious side effects. I had to stop taking it because of severe hearing loss. It was scary, but my doctor was great about managing it.
My mom had Gentamicin, and she had some kidney issues. She had to be hospitalized, but she's okay now. Just be cautious and stay in touch with your doctor.
Just finished a round of Gentamicin. I didn't have any serious side effects, but I did feel really tired and had some muscle weakness. I just rested up when I could.
