Has anyone taken Trilafon 16mg for schizophrenia? What was your experience like?
I've been prescribed Trilafon 16mg tablets for schizophrenia. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone taken this medication? What was your experience like? Did you encounter any severe side effects, and if so, how did you handle them? I'm really just looking for some insight and support from people who know a thing or two about it. Thanks in advance!!

I had a really bad reaction to Trilafon, personally. I was in the hospital for a few days. I know it's not common, but it's possible these drugs can cause a condition called NMS. Scary stuff and not worth the risk for me - I know everyone is different, but this is definitely something to be aware of.
I've been on Trilafon for a few years now. It's not been a cake walk, but it's definitely helped manage my symptoms. The drowsiness was tough at first, but I got used to it. Just make sure to take it as prescribed and keep an eye out for any serious side effects but i think it's a good drug.
I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with this. It's like rolling the dice with these medications. Just make sure that you monitor your health and keep an open dialogue with your doctor. And you've got this, just remember that. If you need to vent, we are all here!
How are you finding the drowsiness? I also have to take trilafon and im sadly up for work in the mornings. Any tips would be great, and good luck!!
I was on Trilafon for a while, but switched to something else. It just didn't agree with me. I really hope it works for you. It's a tough journey but you are not alone. If you have any questions feel free to message me
I think its important to remember that everyone reacts differently to medications. Don't be too alarmed by the side effects list, but do be aware of them. You might have a completely different experience. Just make sure to talk to your doctor. Its all about finding that right balance. Hang in there!
I had to quit taking it, the tremors were too much. Kinda sucks, because it really did help with the voices. Sorry to hear that you're going through this. It's a tough road. Stay strong! ❤️
