I've been experiencing severe discomfort and itching for a couple of days, and my doctor prescribed Clotrimazole 1% Vaginal Cream 45gm. I've never had to use this kind of cream before, so I'm a bit nervous. Does anyone have any advice or personal experiences with this treatment? The side effects list is a bit scary — has anyone had any serious issues? How long did it take to see improvements? Any tips on making the application process easier would be great too!

I thought the same thing. After a few applications, you may feel itching and discomfort. Hang in there and it should get better soon. Just finish the course as prescribed and you should be good as new.

I've used Clotrimazole before and it worked well for me. Just make sure to finish the full course even if you feel better. It's important to stop the yeast from coming back, so don't skip any doses.

I swear by vaginal boric acid suppositories. It's much more gentle and doesn't have the same side effects. Lots of women swear by them, though they need a prescription.

Don't forget to wear loose, breathable clothing while you're treating the infection. Tight clothes can make things worse.

I was terrified of the side effects too but I didn't experience any serious ones. Just a bit of irritation at first, but it went away quickly. Hang in there and it should get better soon.
