Milk of Magnesia Liquid: My go-to for constipation but is it safe?
I've been using Milk of Magnesia Liquid for years to deal with occasional constipation. It works like a charm, but I've recently been worried about the side effects. Has anyone else experienced anything unusual? I've had some mild diarrhea, but nothing too bad. I'm just curious about anyone's experiences they might want to share about this drug, or if anyone knows any other great remedies.

I use Milk of Magnesia to get rid of indigestion and heartburn. I've never had constipation problems. It helps me a lot, but I've never had any side effects.
I've only used it a few times, and it gave me diarrhea both times. I think I'll stick to prunes from now on.
I had a friend who had a really bad reaction. She was swelling up and couldn't breathe. It was scary. I think I'll just avoid it altogether.
I've used it for years and never had any issues. Just make sure to drink plenty of water and you'll be fine. It's a great remedy for occasional constipation.
This stuff tastes awful, but it gets the job done. I just hold my nose and chug it. I've never had any side effects either. I think it's an okay remedy for occasional problems.
I've never heard of anyone dying from this stuff. It's gotta be better than being constipated. I think you’re worrying too much and should just use it.
I don't know about this stuff. I've heard it's not good for your body to take laxatives all the time. I try to stay hydrated and eat plenty of fiber.
I had a really bad reaction once. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER. I would be very cautious using it again or maybe not even use it at all.
