It's really important to finish the course even if symptoms get better or go away. My kid got better halfway through, but we kept going to the end.
My child had no side effects at all. She was a bit fussy during the ear infection but was back to normal after a few days of Omnicef. Fingers crossed yours does the same!
I work in a hospital, and this seems to be a well-tolerated antibiotic overall. Just be aware of the side effects and watch for any signs of a more serious reaction.
My child had a few bouts of diarrhea, but it wasn't severe and the doctor said it was a common side effect. Keep hydrated is the key. We kept a close eye and it never got too bad.
