I recently started taking Mar-Cof Cg (guaifenesin W/cod) Liq for a persistent cough, and while it did help with the cough, I'm concerned about some of the side effects I've been experiencing. The medication itself is said to contain codeine and guaifenesin; which should help with cough and mucus buildup. I've heard some pretty scary stories about codeine and I'm starting to wonder if this is really the best option for me. Has anyone else had issues with this medication? Specifically I've been dealing with more severe constipation and some dizziness. I'm worried about some of the more serious side effects like hallucinations and seizures. I've read online that some people have even experienced seizures. I'm really not sure if this is worth it. I am also concerned about the codeine dependency. Any thoughts?
