Propofol 10mg/ml Inj, 100ml: Fast-acting anesthetic with serious risks - read before surgery!
I recently had surgery and was given Propofol to put me under. I didn't experience any side effects, but I'm curious if anyone else has had a different experience. I know it's fast-acting and wears off quickly, which was great for a speedy recovery. But the potential side effects are scary, especially the risk of Propofol infusion syndrome (PRIS). I've read that this can be life-threatening. Have any of you or someone you know had a bad reaction or known someone who experienced complications? Up until recently, I thought Propofol was fairly harmless as it's so commonly used. Now I'm not so sure. I think it's important for us all to be aware of the risks associated with this drug.
