Just received Adenosine 12mg/4ml IV push for SVT - What should I expect?
After a recent episode of SVT, my cardiologist prescribed Adenosine 12mg/4ml to be given by IV push. The medication is supposed to quickly stop the rapid heart rhythm, but I'm nervous about the potential side effects. I've read that it can cause flushing and shortness of breath, but what if I experience something more severe? Has anyone here had experience with this medication? What were your experiences like? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated. I just want to be prepared for whatever might happen.
