I've been dealing with a nasty cold and cough for the past week, and my doctor prescribed Guaifenesin AC Syrup. I started taking it yesterday and wanted to share my experience so far and see if anyone else has tried it. The combination of guaifenesin and codeine seems to be working for my cough, but I'm a bit concerned about the side effects. Has anyone else had issues with constipation or dizziness? Or any other side effects? I'm also curious about how long it takes for the medicine to fully kick in. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

I was prescribed G Tussin AC 100-10/5 Liquid for a persistent cough and I've been using it for a couple of weeks now. It's been helping, but I'm starting to worry about the codeine in it. I've read that it can be addictive, and I don't want to get hooked on it. Has anyone else had experience with this? How do I know if I'm becoming dependent? I'm going to talk to my doctor, but I'd like to hear from others who have been in a similar situation. How long did you take it? Did you switch to something else afterward? How did you stop and what steps did you take?

I've been prescribed Acetaminophen/cod 120-12mg/5ml Sol for mild to moderate pain, and I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the codeine part.
