I've been dealing with a nasty cold and cough for the past week, and my doctor prescribed Guaifenesin AC Syrup. I started taking it yesterday and wanted to share my experience so far and see if anyone else has tried it. The combination of guaifenesin and codeine seems to be working for my cough, but I'm a bit concerned about the side effects. Has anyone else had issues with constipation or dizziness? Or any other side effects? I'm also curious about how long it takes for the medicine to fully kick in. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

My doctor warned me that I might feel a bit drowsy and dizzy because of the codeine. That was definitely the case for me, so I suggest taking it before bed. Also, watch out for constipation, it made me really uncomfortable and I didn't know it was a side effect until it was too late.
