I've just been prescribed Levoxyl 0.05mg (50mcg) tablets for hypothyroidism. I'm a bit nervous about starting a new medication, especially one that affects hormones. Has anyone else taken this? How long did it take to feel better? What side effects did you experience? I was recently prescribed Levoxyl 0.175mg (175mcg) for my hypothyroidism. I'm curious to hear from others who have been on this medication. How long did it take for you to see improvements in symptoms like weight gain, feeling cold and tired? Did you experience any of the possible side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? I'm particularly interested in hearing about the more common ones like mood changes and hair loss. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
