So I was recently prescribed Benicar HCT 40/25 mg tablets to a mixture of olmesartan and hydrochlorothiazide for high blood pressure. The doctor assured me that the drug helps in the relaxation of blood vessels and aiding in getting rid of extra salt and water, and it sounds great. However, the long list of serious side effects has got me a bit concerned. It seems like the trade-off for better blood pressure could be pretty risky.
