I've recently been prescribed Betaxolol 0.5% Ophthalmic Solution to manage high pressure inside my eye. My doctor explained that it's a beta-blocker and it works by reducing the fluid production in the eye. I've read about the possible side effects, but I'm still a bit nervous. Has anyone else used this medication? What was your experience like? I'm looking for some reassurance and any tips on how to manage the side effects. I did some searching but nothing really came up. I've been using Betaxolol 0.5% Ophthalmic Solution 5ml for about a year now to manage my eye pressure. This medication has helped significantly, but it hasn't been without its challenges. I've experienced some of the side effects, including temporary pain after use, but nothing major. There are a few concerns I have about the more serious side effects, especially the allergic reactions and changes in vision. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. Have any of you experienced severe side effects? Any tips for managing them would be really helpful. Also, has anyone else noticed if the temporary pain after use gets better over time, or is it something you always have to deal with? I've been hoping it would go away. I know there are some more serious side effects, but since I've been doing my treatment as prescribed, nothing serious has happened to me. I hope others can find some relief and guidance from this thread. I know how scary it can be to start a new medication, especially one for your eyes.
