Tegsedi is a groundbreaking medicine used to treat hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis (hATTR), a rare genetic disease where the body produces a faulty protein called TTR that accumulates in organs and causes damage. Tegsedi works by reducing the amount of this faulty TTR protein, thereby slowing down the disease's progression. However, like any powerful medication, Tegsedi comes with a range of side effects, some of which can be severe.
