I've been working in the ICU for a few years now and have used Norepin/D5W 8mg/250ml Inj, 250ml quite a bit. However, I've only just discovered this subreddit and I'm curious how others compare Norepin to other vasopressors. Do you prefer it for certain conditions or patients? I've found it really effective for septic shock, but I'm interested in hearing other perspectives. Does anyone find that it causes more complications with the IV site? My patients don’t seem to experience this too often, but I’ve heard it could cause ectopic tissue damage if it leaks. What have your experiences with this medication been like? Do you prefer it over other vasopressors for different conditions or situations? What is the most effective dosage regimen?
