I've been using Medihoney Wound Gel 31815 for the past few weeks to treat a persistent wound on my leg. It's a honey-based gel designed to keep the wound moist, fight germs, and reduce swelling. So far, it seems to be working wonders. The wound has started to heal faster than I expected, and the inflammation has significantly reduced. However, I've heard mixed reviews about the side effects. Has anyone else had any issues with it? I specifically want to know about the allergic reactions and skin irritation, as these seem to be the most common side effects. Some of them are actually quite scary, like the blistering and peeling skin with or without fever. It's also important to mention that abnormal bleeding and fever are other symptoms to look out for. I tried calling the FDA hotline for more info but had no luck. What about you guys?

I was prescribed Santyl 250u/gm Ointment (Collagenase) for a persistent wound on my leg. The doctor said it would help break down the dead tissue to promote better healing but didn't give much detail about it. Has anyone else used this? How effective is it in your experience? I'm trying to understand what to expect from it. Also, I've never used an enzyme like this before, so just wondering what the application experience is like — does it burn or sting?
