I've been using Atropine eye drops for a couple of weeks now to treat my child's lazy eye condition. They are prescribed to dilate the pupil and temporarily paralyze the focusing muscle of the eye to help improve vision. I've got some concerns about side-effects, though. If you have used this medication that way, I'd love to hear your experiences. I've had some trouble finding detailed information about the long-term effects of using this medication for amblyopia treatment. Most resources talk about short-term use for eye exams or minor inflammation, but not long-term use. If anyone can shine some light on their experience, or point me to some detailed information on long-term side-effects, I'd greatly appreciate it.
