I've recently been prescribed Paraplatin 1000mg Inj, 100ml for my cancer treatment. Carboplatin is a chemotherapy medicine used to treat certain types of cancer. It works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells, which stops them from growing and multiplying. It is given as an injection into a vein. I know it comes with some serious and common side effects. I'm looking for experiences or advice from anyone who has gone through this treatment. Avoidable like any other medicine, but I'm sure that each person's experience is unique. Anything helps. I'm currently undergoing treatment with Carboplatin 150/15ml Inj, 15ml for ovarian cancer. I've had some side effects and wanted to see what others experiences have been and how they managed them. The list of side effects is overwhelming and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced reactions at the injection site and if there are any tips to manage them. I was also wondering about reporting side effects - has anyone done this before? It seems like a lot of effort to go through while going through cancer treatment.
