I've recently been prescribed Paraplatin 1000mg Inj, 100ml for my cancer treatment. Carboplatin is a chemotherapy medicine used to treat certain types of cancer. It works by damaging the DNA of cancer cells, which stops them from growing and multiplying. It is given as an injection into a vein. I know it comes with some serious and common side effects. I'm looking for experiences or advice from anyone who has gone through this treatment. Avoidable like any other medicine, but I'm sure that each person's experience is unique. Anything helps. Thanks in advance for any insights you can provide!

I went through this treatment last year, just try to get the homeopathic and herbal meds you can to help with the side effects. Good luck on your journey.

The tissue damage was a bit of a pain, but nothing too bad. It's important to keep an eye on that and make sure the nurse is aware if you notice anything. I had to say the nurse that it was burning and she immediately stopped the injection. I had to go home and deal with the pain for a couple of days. But nothing a couple days of rest can't fix

Bleeding is definitely something to watch out for. I had a few scares, but nothing major. Just keep an eye on everything and don't hesitate to call your doctor if you notice anything unusual. Like the others mentioned, it is important to keep your doctor in the loop. In fact, they are the best people to talk to about these things. And don't forget, you are not alone. There are many of us that have been through this and we are here for you!

I've been through a few rounds of Carboplatin. The worse part, for me, was the fatigue and weakness. It's important to listen to your body and take it easy when you need to. Also, stay hydrated and eat well to keep your strength up. Follow the doctor's advice and take care of yourself. The side effects will vary depending on the dosage and your own body. But the most important thing is to stay positive. Don't let the side effects get to you. You can do this!

I had some really strange side effects that I didn't see on the list. My sense of smell completely disappeared for a few months. It came back eventually, but it was weird. And I didn't know if anyone else had that experience. I've been there.

I thought the worst side effects I had was the nausea and vomiting. Just make sure you have good anti-nausea meds on hand

I'm glad I found this thread. I'm about to start this treatment and I'm a bit nervous. Thanks for sharing your experiences, everyone. I'll definitely keep an eye out for those serious side effects. But all the information here definitely helped. Thanks again.

Remember, everyone's experience is different. Try not to get too overwhelmed by the horror stories. Take it one day at a time and stay positive. It is easier said than done, but worth it. Best of luck to everyone going through this!
