I've been scheduled for a CT scan with Isovue-300 61% Inj, 500ml contrast agent. I've heard a lot about contrast agents and their potential side effects but don't know much about Isovue-300 specifically. The information sheet mentions allergic reactions and other serious side effects, which has me a bit worried. Are these side effects common? Hey everyone, I recently had a procedure where Iodixanol 270mg/ml Inj, 100ml was used as a contrast agent. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had experience with this drug. I was really anxious about the potential side effects, especially the rare but severe ones like Stevens-Johnson syndrome. The nurse reassured me that these are extremely rare, but I couldn't help but worry. I ended up having a mild reaction with some irritation at the injection site and a brief feeling of warmth. I just wanted to share my experience and ask if anyone else has had similar reactions or knows more about managing these side effects. Also, how common are the severe side effects? Has anyone experienced them or know someone who has? Any insights would be really helpful.
