With cold and allergy season in full swing, I've been struggling with bad chest congestion and nasal stuffiness. My doctor recommended Gilphex TR 10-390mg Tablets, which contain Guaifenesin and Phenylephrine. Guaifenesin is supposed to thin and loosen the mucus in my lungs, making it easier to cough up, while Phenylephrine acts as a decongestant to relieve the nasal stuffiness. Has anyone else tried this medication? I'm curious to know if it's helped others and what side effects you've experienced. The patient leaflet lists some pretty serious potential side effects, so I'm a bit nervous. I guess I'll report back after I take it. I'm also wondering if it's safe to take with other medications, like my daily allergy pills. Any advice would be appreciated!
