With cold and allergy season in full swing, I've been struggling with bad chest congestion and nasal stuffiness. My doctor recommended Gilphex TR 10-390mg Tablets, which contain Guaifenesin and Phenylephrine. Guaifenesin is supposed to thin and loosen the mucus in my lungs, making it easier to cough up, while Phenylephrine acts as a decongestant to relieve the nasal stuffiness.

Has anyone else tried this medication? I'm curious to know if it's helped others and what side effects you've experienced. The patient leaflet lists some pretty serious potential side effects, so I'm a bit nervous. I guess I'll report back after I take it.

I'm also wondering if it's safe to take with other medications, like my daily allergy pills. Any advice would be appreciated!

I work at a pharmacy and we sell a lot of these. People usually come back for more, so I guess that's a good sign? Just be careful with the dosage. Some people think more is better, but that's not always the case with these kinds of meds.

I've been using Gilphex TR for a while now and it's been a lifesaver. I usually take it before bed because it does make me a bit sleepy. I notice that it helps me breathe better at night. I've also found that it helps with my allergies as well, not just colds.

I have had a lot of success with Gilphex TR 10-390mg Tablets. A big tip is to take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. It's also important to stay hydrated while taking it, as it can cause dry mouth. I usually keep a glass of water handy. It's a bit of a hassle, but I've found it to be more effective than other meds I've tried.

I took this once and it made me so drowsy I couldn't function! Maybe it was just me, but I won't be trying it again.

I’m about to start taking these, so hopefully your reports are encouraging and they help me out. I’m nervous about the side effects, like dizziness and trouble sleeping, but I guess it’s worth a shot, right? I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I've had no issues with it so far. It’s helped clear up my congestion pretty quickly. It's a relief to finally breathe easily again. Just remember to check with your doctor if you’re taking other meds, like allergy pills. I had to double-check with my doctor because of my anxiety meds.

I've had it make me really jittery in the past. It might be worth asking your doctor if there's an alternative. I know it's annoying to be without your usual stuff, but it might be worth the time.

I had a nasty allergic reaction to it. Swelling of the face, hives - all that. I needed an ER visit after. It was scary, but thankfully I'm ok. I'm staying away from it even though I really hate running to the doctor.
