I was recently prescribed Potassium Cl 2meq/ml Inj 20ml to treat low potassium levels, and I've been a bit anxious about the potential side effects. I've read some scary stuff about allergic reactions and high potassium levels. Has anyone else had experience with this? I'm curious to know how others have handled it and if there are any tips or tricks to make the process smoother. I'm also wondering if anyone has had to deal with the medication leaking from the vein—that sounds terrifying! Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone! I recently had an infusion of Potassium Chloride in D5W. I'm trying to figure out the best treatments to take to minimize the side effects. I'd appreciate any advice or experience you can share. Some of those serious side effects are really risking my health if I don't know how to avoid them. My doctor did explain a little, but I don't know what else I can do to be fully safe. I hope some of you have had this and can provide more information.
